As i write this, the United States is deep into the primary season for the 2024 Presidential Election. There is more than enough news, polls, allegations, recriminations, and influence peddling bombarding the American people, and will continue to do so, probably until the middle of next year. When subject to this corruption, many GIs returning from World War II were led to challenge the corrupt county Sheriff and other office holders.
