When science goes bad

Do you trust “The Science”? There is no such thing as “The Science”. There are scientists who are supposed to follow the scientific method. What happens when those supposed scientist abandon the scientific method for their own agendas? What happens when science goes bad?

Similarly, what happens when the law goes bad? When the very people who have sworn to uphold the laws designed to protect us use those laws to attack us? How can we live free if there are those who are supposed to protect our rights instead of attacking them?

Whether we’re talking about science or the law, the problem is we keep looking for someone else to protect our rights for us. When they fail, our rights are infringed upon. This is why I believe John Jay encouraged us to read and study the Constitution for ourselves, so we would be prepared to defend and assert those rights ourselves when those who are supposed to support them are attacking them.

Paul Engel

Like many of you, I am a product of the public schools. Like many of you I thought the Constitution was for lawyers and judges. One day I read the Constitution, and was surprised to find I didn't need a law degree to understand it. Then I read the Declaration of Independence, the Federalist Papers and even the Anti-Federalist Papers. As I learned more and more about our founding fathers and documents I saw how little we know about how our country was designed to work and how many people just didn't care. I started The Constitution Study to help those who also want read and study our Constitution.
