If you’re expecting the courts to save your rights, I have bad news for you

The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Are you relying on the courts to protect your rights? Think again. The recent Supreme Court case Murthy v. Missouri reveals that the courts may not always decide in your favor. Meanwhile, misinformation about gun violence continues, and a CBS/YouGov poll indicates a worrying trend: many Americans may no longer value their freedom…

Our Independence Day!

The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Will you stand by while your birthright as an American is taken away from you and your family? Will you join with others to make sure this remains the land of the free by once again becoming the home of the brave? Will you pledge your life, your fortune, and your sacred honor, not to me or to this nation, but to your children and those who will follow?

Public health or political health

The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Political agendas increasingly infiltrate public health. Biden integrates illegal aliens into Obamacare, Rachel Levine promotes the transgender agenda among youth, and Surgeon General Vivek Murthy labels gun violence a public health crisis to infringe on rights. This politicization of healthcare reflects decades of political control, urging us to focus on voters’ decision-making to combat this trend.

428 – Lives, Fortunes, and Sacred Honor

Things looked bleak for the colonies in 1776. The question of freedom had life and death consequences. Those 56 men who signed the Declaration of Independence knew they were committing treason against their king. They knew that freedom would cost them greatly. Yet they still pledged to each other their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor. Today, groups of people around this nation are still fighting for their independence. Not from political affiliation, but from ever expanding governments dedicated to taking away our independence, our freedom, and our right to life, liberty, and to pursue happiness. Will you stand by while your birthright as an American is taken away from you and your family? Will you join with others to make sure this remains the land of the free by making sure we are the home of the brave? Let us declare that liberty and freedom will not vanish from this nation. That we will not allow tyranny and fear to rule us. We will not go silently into that good night of subjugation. This July 4th, let us loudly proclaim:

Look around at the consequences of our decisions. Are protests falling on deaf ears? Are facts ignored? Reflecting on our choices, especially in elections, is crucial to electing better representatives and making wiser decisions.

The greatest threats to this nation do not come from outside but from within!

The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Has anyone else noticed that, while claims of threats to our democracy come from both political parties, how often do they try to push power to the bureaucracies, which are, by definition, undemocratic? I know the United States is not a democracy but a republic, meaning we elect representatives to exercise our power in our name. Yet both sides seem to be working hard to…

If, at first, you don’t succeed, just let government screw it up again

The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Governments often respond to failures by throwing more money at problems instead of honest introspection. As Ronald Reagan said, “I’m from the government, and I’m here to help.” This reflects our misplaced trust in government solutions. By embracing real choice in areas like healthcare, education, and banking, we, the people, can take control and demand better outcomes.

How bribery and intimidation fuel government power

The Constitution Study with Host Paul Engel – Governments today thrive on bribery and intimidation. They sway support with grants and programs or enforce compliance through regulations and lawsuits. Many federal welfare programs and infrastructure projects are unconstitutional, yet they persist due to public compliance. Knowing and asserting our constitutional rights is crucial to resisting these unlawful government tactics.
