460 – Birthright Citizenship vs the Constitution

One of the executive orders Donald Trump signed on his first day in office ordered federal departments and agencies to not issue any citizenship documents to anyone born in the United States to a mother who was either illegally or temporarily in the United States unless the father was a citizen. It should surprise no one that this order stirred up controversy. Of the several lawsuits that have been filed I have found one thing in common, an inability to read the law.

USAID Is Stripped of Its Lease and Staffers Turned Away from DC Headquarters

The Associated Press   Scores of U.S. Agency for International Development staffers who showed up for work Monday at its Washington headquarters were turned away after the Trump administration stripped the aid agency of its lease. The Trump administration on Monday told The Associated Press that it had taken USAID off the lease of the building, which it had occupied for decades. The eviction comes as a court temporarily blocked a Trump administration order that would have pulled all but a fraction of workers off the job worldwide. USAID’s eviction from its headquarters marks the latest in the swift dismantling of the aid agency and its programs by President Donald Trump and his billionaire ally, Elon Musk. FEMA Quietly Slid $59 Million Out the Door for Illegal Migrants to Put Their Feet Up at ‘Luxury Hotels,’ Musk Says

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) handed out $59 million to “luxury” hotels in New York City to house illegal migrants, Elon Musk said Monday.
Musk — who leads the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a temporary agency within the Trump administration tasked with weeding out frivolous spending by the federal government — said it was his DOGE team that made the discovery. The top White House official said the payment was in violation of President Donald Trump’s executive order and efforts would be made to recover the funds.
