Trump Administration Tells Universities to End DEI Programs Before Deadline or Risk Losing Funding

The Trump administration has warned America’s schools and universities that they have to get rid of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies or they run the risk of losing federal funding. 
The Department of Education put out a memo Friday that said schools had to stop using “racial preferences” when considering hiring in admissions, financial aid or other areas, according to The Associated Press.

Marx-Inspired U.S. History Textbook Used by 1-in-4 Classes ‘Aims to Misinform,’ Report Finds

The textbook, “A People’s History of the United States,” used in as many as one and four high school history classrooms, misinforms students and borrows from Karl Marx to present American history as a “conflict between capital and labor,” according to a new report.
The report by the Goldwater Institute compares “A People’s History” by the late Howard Zinn to Hillsdale College Professor Wilfred McClay’s alternative and less used textbook “Land of Hope: An Invitation to the Great American Story.” The institute is a conservative think tank in Arizona, focused on free market policy and Americans’ constitutional freedoms.

Army repurposed over $151 million from soldier paychecks for food to spend elsewhere: Report…

The United States Army allegedly repurposed more than $151 million that it took from soldiers’ paychecks for food, and spent it on other costs instead, according to a Military.com report .
It is not clear from the data where the money is actually being spent, but the 2024 financial records from 11 of the Army’s largest bases showed that just $2.1 million of the $17 million collected at Fort Stewart, Georgia, went to food.
