Data made public by Metro Nashville through its Metro Immigration Interactions portal revealed that Metro Nashville Council Member Sandra Sepulveda allegedly followed a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) van until it stopped, then urged Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) to order the federal vehicle’s driver to leave its parking lot.
Less than one week after the beginning of the joint immigration enforcement operation between U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) on May 3, data made public by the city revealed officers were "alerted" that Sepulveda was following the vehicle on May 8.
