A police officer in Alvarado, Texas, was shot late Thursday night during what authorities describe as a coordinated attack outside the Prairieland Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Detention Facility.
According to the Alvarado Police Department, the incident began just before 11 p.m. when officers responded to a report of a suspicious person near the federal facility.
