Tennessee Approves First-Ever License for Commercial Fusion Project

Tennessee issued its first-ever fusion-specific byproduct material license to Type One Energy, clearing the way for the company’s planned fusion facility in Clinton.
Type One Energy intends to break ground on the new facility at the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA)’s Bull Run Energy Complex, which the company expects to be operating by 2034, according to a state press release.
