Nick Shirley Sues California over ‘Stop Nick Shirley Act’
Nick Shirley announced today on X that he is suing the state of California over the controversial bill signed by Gov. Gavin Newsom that critics have dubbed the “Stop Nick Shirley Act.”
AB 2624 restricts the publication of certain identifying information about workers at organizations that provide immigration-related services when a worker submits a written request that the information not be published.

Publix, Walmart, Other Grocers Under Investigation over Beef Prices
The Hill The Department of Justice (DOJ) is expanding its investigation into beef affordability in the U.S. to include eight of the largest grocers in the country. The agency is preparing to spend about $5 million on something America has never really had in one place: a nationwide collection of publicly available voter registration and voter-history records that Homeland Security investigators can use for fraud detection.
