From “man on the street” interviews to academic research we see that American’s understanding of our Constitution today is lacking. Studies show that 39% of Americans cannot name a single freedom protected by the First Amendment. This led me to start The Constitution Study, where everyday Americans can read and study their constitution, learn to defend their rights, and to teach the rising generations to be free.
Last year I started writing a book on The Constitution Study. Earlier this year I released my first essay from that book. In this essay I show the story behind these amendments, what problems they were intended to fix, and what problems they actually created. I believe this is important information for all Americans to understand if we are to remain a functioning republic and not just one in name only.
